Hotmail is still one of the most used email services in the world. It was created by Sabeer Bhatia, later it was purchased by Microsoft. Now Hotmail is known as Outlook.com after it was rebranded in 2012.

Hotmail login web and application interface is much user-friendly for anyone of any age who can use this email service for their personal or professional work. Please note that now Hotmail.com has rebranded to Outlook.com. Therefore, all old Hotmail accounts are now accessible through Outlook.com.

Login to your Hotmail Account on Desktop

To log in to Hotmail using a desktop, follow the steps given below.

  • Visit Hotmail.com. Next, click on the "Sign in" option available on the right side of the page.
  • In the first field, enter your username or Hotmail email address and click on "Next".
  • In the following field, enter the password for your account and click on "Login". Please note that the Password field is case-sensitive, enter the password for your account correctly.
  • You have successfully logged in to your Hotmail account. Please choose the option "Remember Me" if you want to stay logged in to your Hotmail account on your personal computer or any other personal device.

    There are several ways to use Hotmail on mobile phone devices. These options are available on all types of Mobile phone devices.

  • By using the Official Hotmail Application.
  • By using Default Mobile Email Accounts.
  • By using Mobile Phone Browser.
    • Login through Application

    If you want to use Hotmail account through the application, please follow the steps below.

  • From Google Play Store or Apple App Store, Install the latest version of the Hotmail Mail application.
  • After the installation is complete, open the application and enter the Hotmail credentials for your account.
  • Enter the username or email address in the first field, then click on "Next".
  • Enter the password for your Hotmail account and then click on "Sign in".
  • Your Hotmail account will be logged in, and now you can use it through the mobile application.

    If you want to use a Hotmail account using the default Mobile email accounts option, follow the easy steps below.

  • On your Android or iOS device, Go to Settings.
  • Scroll down and click on Accounts.
  • From the List, select "Outlook" or "Hotmail Account".
  • Enter the username and password for your Hotmail account and click on "Sign in".
  • Now you can use a Hotmail account on your mobile phone using the default mailing option.
    • Log in to Hotmail through Mobile Browser

    Just like desktop browsers, you can use Hotmail on mobile browsers as well. To log in on the Mobile browser, follow the steps below.

  • Open any web browser on your Mobile Phone.
  • In the address bar, go to www.Hotmail.com or click here: https://login.live.com/.
  • Scroll down a little and click on "Sign in".
  • In the first field, enter your Hotmail Email or Username.
  • In the following field, enter the password for your Hotmail account.
  • If your credentials are correct, you will successfully log in to your Hotmail account through a Mobile browser.

    • Please Note: If you want to use it continuously, you can tick the "Remember Me" option during the sign-in process. Also, do not use Incognito mode, as it will log out automatically when you close the tab.

    Hotmail Two Step Verification

    Hotmail two step verification is a process that adds an extra security layer on your Hotmail.com account. It works as when you try to login to Hotmail account. It will send a verification code on your registered Mobile phone number or Email address. You cannot login to your Hotmail account unless you submit the verification code on the page.

    To Enable two Step verification on your account, follow the steps below.

  • Login to your Hotmail account using desktop and Go directly to Security Settings.
  • In Security Settings, choose "Turn on Two Step Verification".
  • It will send a verification code on your mobile phone or Email address.
  • Paste the code in the verification box and click on "Continue".
  • If you follow these steps correctly, Two step verification will enable for your Hotmail.com account.
